(Nashville, Tenn.) Jan. 21, 2011 – First-week sales and current radio airplay for Brandon Heath’s highly-anticipated third studio release, Leaving Eden, rally for street-week magic rarely captured as the project holds the No.1 position on the iTunes Christian Albums chart, and lead single “Your Love” takes the No. 1 spot at radio for a second week atop Billboard’s National Christian Audience, and AC Monitor and Indicator charts. The hit single also closes the AC radio panel this week with 100% of stations across the country now spinning “Your Love.”

The Dove-winning Male Vocalist of the Year also reaches another career milestone as the digital sales of his previous 2009 Song of the Year hit “Give Me Your Eyes” surpass 500,000 - officially certifying as a RIAA Gold digital single this week. According to SoundScan, “Give Me Your Eyes” has sold over 563,000 digital downloads to date.

“Kudos to Brandon and thanks to producer Dan Muckala for delivering another amazing record,” says Terry Hemmings, President and CEO of Provident Music Group. “It has given our label team and Brandon’s management a lot to work with in setting up this important record, allowing us to continue to grow the business and ministry of Brandon Heath. We’re looking ahead to a great year for him in both record sales and touring.”

With radio and retail support, Heath’s album street week for Leaving Eden drew over 3,000 fans in Minneapolis for a performance at the Mall of America in partnership with Best Buy and KTIS radio, followed by a show with JOY FM listeners in Tampa, Fl., at the local Family Christian Store, and a free concert with Z88.3 in Orlando. Tonight, Heath plays Phoenix, followed by Saturday’s show at the Gibson Amphitheater in University City, Calif., as part of the Winter Wonder Slam Tour with GRAMMY Award winning artist TobyMac.

About Brandon Heath
Since his 2006 debut, Christian music’s beloved and twice honored Male Vocalist of the Year (2009 and 2010) Brandon Heath has won an Emmy Award, been nominated for two GRAMMYs, an American Music Award, and holds multiple GMA Dove Awards. The Nashville native was featured on the “CBS Evening News with Katie Couric,” while also spotlighted in the Sunday edition of The New York Times as a GRAMMY-nominated newcomer “that shouldn't be allowed to slip through the cracks.” His soaring radio career includes four No.1 hits, “Your Love,” “I’m Not Who I Was,” “Wait and See” and 2009’s GMA Dove-winning Song of the Year, “Give Me Your Eyes.” Heath first began writing at age 13 and credits his hometown’s legendary hotspot for songwriters, the Bluebird Café, as the place he first experienced music that moved him.

Off stage, Heath seeks opportunities to merge his public platform with his heart for community, regularly working with Young Life, Blood:Water Mission, Restore International and unofficially volunteering for many other human rights agencies on a global scale. Heath also created the annual “Love Your Neighbor” benefit with songwriter Jason Ingram, in partnership with Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, Tennessee, for a night of music to raise funds and gather volunteers for a focused need in the Nashville community.
